Qualifications

Deployment Engineer at Maestro Technologies, Inc.

We are seeking a skilled Deployment Engineer with strong expertise in AlmaLinux administration, Ansible automation, and Docker-based deployments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and securing local deployment environments following Linux best practices, while automating workflows and integrating with AWS infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain AlmaLinux servers for local and staging environments
• Implement best practices for system setup, including partitioning, service hardening, and user access management
• Configure network interfaces, DNS, routing, and system-level firewalls
• Set up secure SSH access, log rotation, system monitoring, and performance tuning
• Maintain a consistent baseline configuration using automation (Ansible)

Networking & Security

• Configure and troubleshoot local network connectivity and routing
• Define and manage firewall rules using firewalld and iptables
• Integrate and maintain OPSWAT security tools for endpoint and network protection

Automation & Configuration Management (Ansible)

• Design and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories for provisioning, configuration, and updates
• Automate software deployments and configuration drift correction
• Implement repeatable environment setups across multiple nodes or environments

Scripting & Tooling

• Develop and maintain Bash scripts to automate system tasks, log analysis, and deployment routines
• Integrate scripting into CI/CD or scheduled maintenance operations

Containerization & Application Deployment

• Deploy and orchestrate containerized applications using Docker and Docker Compose
• Manage and optimize container networking, volumes, and environment variables
• Troubleshoot container dependencies and ensure security and performance compliance
• Use Git for version control, code review, and configuration management
• Manage infrastructure and Ansible configurations in Git repositories (GitOps approach)
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams through Git-based workflows (branches, merges, pull requests)
• Manage AWS EC2 instances and networking for hybrid or local-to-cloud deployments
• Use AWS services such as S3, IAM, and CloudWatch for deployment support and monitoring
• Automate deployment processes to AWS environments via Ansible or CI/CD pipelines
