Job description

The Custodian / Janitor plays a critical role in supporting that commitment by performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout our facilities. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and takes pride in keeping workspaces in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, office areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors across all facility zones.
• Empty trash bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste properly.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and interior glass surfaces.
• Refill and restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.).
• Perform light maintenance duties such as replacing lightbulbs and reporting needed repairs.
• Support with setup and breakdown for company events or meetings.
• Ensure that all cleaning products and equipment are used safely and stored appropriately.
• Communicate any safety concerns or facility needs to the Facilities Manager.
• Ensure all buildings, gates, and doors are properly secured and locked at the end of the workday.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or remain in one position for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working with cleaning supplies and tools on a daily basis.
• Must be able to perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and repetitive movements.

Qualifications:

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must successfully pass a background check prior to employment.

This position is based at our Eugene headquarters and requires working in indoor and outdoor conditions depending on the assignment. Custodians will interact with various departments and staff across the company.
