Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Deployable Logistics Field Representative to support NAVSUP WSS under the TARP program, providing Depot Level Repairable (DLR) and Secondary Repairable (SECREP) expertise in packaging, handling, storage and transportation. The role includes providing training and assistance on PHS&T and supply retrograde procedures to USN/USMC/Coast Guard personnel on various assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years in Navy logistics (Aviation Storekeeper/Logistics Specialist) or related aviation logistics roles.
• Active Secret Clearance and US citizenship.
• Willingness to deploy on US Navy ships and travel to remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Deploy on CVNs and LHA/D ships with Aviation Supply Office (S-6) to provide Reverse Supply Chain expertise and DLR/SECREP support.
• Operate independently ashore supporting ATAC nodes to ensure proper P700-CNP packaging and shipping of DLRs back to CONUS depots.
• Assist CVN/LHD beach detachments with RSC logistics and support major/minor operations.
• Identify PHS&T discrepancies and remediation requirements.
• Develop POAMs to improve current activity practices and advise on PHS&T techniques and facilities layout.
• Monitor and analyze eRMS to ensure 100% carcass accountability and efficient ITV/proof of delivery.
• Document program activities and establish logistics guidance for economical support.

Description

The Deployable Logistics Field Representative will support the Technical Assistance for Repairables Processing (TARP) Program sponsored and funded under a contract with NAVSUP Weapons Systems Support (WSS). This is an independent duty position to provide Depot Level Repairable (DLR) and Secondary Repairable (SECREP) support to US Navy and Marines Corps. The successful candidate will be expected to deploy on US Naval ships in support of the Naval Reverse Supply Chain logistics, providing assistance and training in PHS&T (Packaging, Handling, storage and transportation) and supply retrograde procedures to USN/USMC/Coast Guard Supply personnel (Naval and Marine Aviation, Maritime and Ground Marine) to include all material condition codes of DLR and SECREP assets, asset processing, packaging and protection support and assistance, process improvement, documentation, and operational reporting

Primary Responsibilities

• Deploy on various CVNs and LHA/D ships embedding with Aviation Supply Office (S-6) aboard, providing Reverse Supply Chain expertise in AVDLR/DLR/SECREP policy and procedures, PHS&T training, eRMS training and assistance and DLR retrograde movement.




• Operating independently at assigned Ashore activity supporting major and various minor activities to include Advanced Traceability and Control (ATAC) nodes to ensure the proper P700-CNP packaging and handling and shipping of all DLR's back to required CONUS repair and storage depots or pack-up kit managers.




• Assist assigned Major and Minor activities to include CVN/LHD Beach Detachments with RSC logistics.




• Independently determine PHS&T discrepancies and inefficiencies and identify necessary remediation requirements.




• Develop and implement necessary POAMs to correct/improve current activity practices recommending improvements to the appropriate chain of command.




• Provide expert advice in the areas of PHS&T techniques, resource support, facilities layout, and utilization, packaging materials and equipment, handling including container utilization, storage, transportation, and retrograde system infrastructure.




• Monitor and analyze assigned unit/ship/shore station's eRMS database and supply posture to ensure 100% carcass accountability, minimize additional damage to repairables during transit, and provide for efficient and accurate In-Transit-Visibility (ITV)/proof of delivery.




• Document program activities, establish logistics guidance, conduct supportability analyses, establish support concepts, and provide the continued planning necessary to ensure effective and economical support for the program.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum twenty years work experience as a Navy Aviation Storekeeper (Logistics Specialist)/Maintenance Control Operations or as an Aviation Logistics Marine with experience in PHS&T Logistical Readiness, Transportation management, customer service operations, training support, hazardous material handling, and/or process review support.




• Prior enlisted/officer military service and experience as an E-8 or above (an E-7 will be considered if extensive DLR management experience can be demonstrated).




• Physically capable to deploy on US Naval vessels and adhere to all policies and procedures set by U.S. Navy.




• Physically capable to travel remote locations to support ashore logistics operations.




• College level courses taken in logistics or courses completed through the DOD.




• Must be a US Citizen with and Active Secret Clearance

• Experience deployed on a CVN and/or LDeck Ship




• Understanding of ATAC Operations




• Understanding of MIL-STD-2073-1E Methods of Preservation

Pay Range:

Pay Range $45,500.00 - $82,250.00
