Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Network Communications professional to support Windows Server security, SCCM/MECM, and classified contract administration at Edwards AFB. You will install, configure, and maintain AD environments, manage access control, and assist with security documentation.

The role requires strong communication skills, ability to work on-site on Edwards AFB, CA, and willingness to travel up to 50% as needed for CONUS/OCONUS assignments.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s with required years per Level 2/3.
  • Must have US Government 8140 security certification.
  • Current Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret.
  • Willing to relocate for up to 180 days away from primary work location.

Responsibilities

  • Support Windows Server security infrastructure design, implementation, and migration.
  • Manage SCCM/MECM to support agent installation and tuning.
  • Perform Windows System Administrator duties for a classified contract.
  • Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify permissions.
  • Test releases to ensure compatibility and minimize impact.
  • Maintain security audit and logging per ISSM directives.
  • Document processes and procedures; follow security guidelines.
  • Provide first-level support via ServiceNow/JIRA and other channels.

The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at the Edwards AFB, CA location.Note: This position requires a minimum of 50% travel equating to approximately 180 days per year. Travel will be both CONUS and OCONUS. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-siteThe responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:Support establishment of the Windows Server security infrastructure design, implementation, and migration planning and fielding.Provide support for Microsoft Windows Server 2016/ 2019 platform and functionsManage SCCM/ MECM platform to support customer requests for agent installation and tuning monitors and rules.Participate in new installations, testing and special projects as needed.Exhibit excellent communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers.Perform as a Windows System Administrator for a classified government contract.Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format.Able to support multiple networks. Ensure necessary administration tasks are completed; direct others as necessary.Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security.Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.Works under minimal direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions.Perform Network Communications activities in support of classified government contracts.Exhibits good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers.Establishes and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction according to defined objectives while adhering to established policies.Follow documented technical processes and procedures in support of job duties as assigned.Provide first-level support resolution of technical problems and answers queries by telephone, in support of internal customers computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems.Support network operations of LAN/WAN/VPNs with knowledge of encryption.Under direction ensure necessary administration tasks are completed, following all security policies and procedures reporting task statuses, as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts in written and oral format.
