Job summary

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) in Jacksonville, Florida, seeks a Surge Support Medical Equipment Repairer to perform installation, maintenance, overhaul, repair and testing of medical and dental equipment used in patient diagnosis and treatment. You will assist higher level repairers and travel up to 70% of the time.

Candidates must have an AA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, and be deployable within 72 hours.

Qualifications

• AA degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 5 years of directly related work experience to include Advanced Biomedical Repairman experience with Fleet Marine Force (FMF) or equivalent.
• In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic principles and circuitry; ability to repair and maintain medical and dental equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams and flow sheets.
• Ability to perform algebraic computations for load requirements of wiring and equipment.
• Knowledge of electronic circuits, tubes, transistors and diagnostic repairs.
• Ability to work with small components with good eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to use basic office software applications.
• Must deployable within 72 hours and travel up to 70%

Responsibilities

• Performs the most complex duties involving installation, maintenance, overhaul, repair and testing of medical and dental equipment.
• Assists higher level repairers and supports mission-critical equipment readiness.
