Job summary

Cogent People Inc. is seeking a Deploy Automation Engineer to support a mission-critical large-scale system for the Federal Government in the healthcare domain.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, configuration management with Ansible, and Linux operations, with hybrid work expectations in Maryland (office MON & WED). You will build and maintain automated CI pipelines, assist developers with source control, and ensure governance across environments on AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of direct experience with RedHat Ansible.
• 2+ years of direct experience with Jenkins and CI/CD processes and toolchain.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS.
• 2+ years of experience with Linux operations, including scripting.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain fully automated CI build processes.
• Create, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop policies, standards, guidelines, and governance for CI/CD operations.
• Support developers with source control operations through build automation, merge resolution, test automation, and deployments.

Job Overview

Cogent People Inc. is seeking a Deploy Automation Engineer to support a mission-critical large-scale system serving the Federal Government in the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CI/CD tools and practices, configuration management (Ansible), and Linux operations.

Location

Remote/Hybrid if local to Maryland (MON & WED in the office)

Residency Requirement

Candidates must have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years and be authorized to work in the U.S. (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD).

Clearance

Public Trust Clearance (or ability to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in federal government programs or regulated environments (CMS experience is preferred).
• Relevant certifications (AWS, Ansible) are a plus.
