Griswold Home Care for Northern Vermont is seeking trustworthy live-in caregivers to provide non-medical support and companionship to older adults who wish to stay in their own homes. The role emphasizes safety, consistency, and respect.

Caregivers must have at least 2 years of professional caregiving experience, reliable transportation, and the ability to follow individualized care plans, including overnight shifts when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance when driving is required.
• Ability to pass background and employment screenings.
• Must meet physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support and companionship for live-in clients.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping to maintain a safe home.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor client condition.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and transportation as needed.
• Maintain client dignity, privacy, and safety at all times.
• Communicate observations to the Griswold office and family.
• Follow the client’s individualized care plan and routines.
• Provide overnight presence when required.
