Job summary

Wastequip Container Pros is seeking a Department Supervisor in Houston, TX to coordinate technicians, welders and painters for repair of customer refuse containers on and offsite. You will assign work, lead a team, monitor performance, and communicate progress to customers and management.

The role requires 3+ years of supervisory experience, knowledge of commercial trash cans and roll-offs, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a supervisor.
• Knowledge of Commercial Trash cans and Roll-offs.
• Experience leading teams.
• Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Able to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic components.
• General mechanical abilities.
• Must have good customer service skills.
• Ability to ride in a vehicle for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work orders to appropriate team members as appropriate to meet customer commitments.
• Provides leadership and guidance to ensure work performed matches customer and/or service order request.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance.
• Clearly communicate goals, expectations and provide timely feedback as appropriate.
• Interacts with customer as needed to provide status updates, obtain additional information and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Provides daily status updates to management on progress of work orders.
• Works with appropriate team members to resolve issues or request support as needed.
• Travel by vehicle to customers either by driving or as a passenger.
• Other duties as assigned.
