Job description

The selected candidate will be appointed to either the Branch Supervisor 9 (Trainee) or the Branch Supervisor 10 position based on their education and experience.

Position Duties
  1. Serve as a working supervisor in various locations.
  2. Provide excellent customer service.
  3. Train staff.
  4. Handle general physical plant issues.
  5. Maintain office equipment and inventoried supplies.
  6. Prepare various reports.
  7. Process all transactions in a Secretary of State branch office.

Appointment Type/Benefits

This is a full-time position, making you eligible for state benefits.

Work Schedule

The incumbent(s) will work a varied schedule of 40 or more hours per week, with occasional travel to other branch offices for relief assignments. The work hours during the week are:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Hours may vary. Candidates must be available to work any of the specified days/hours.

Education and Experience Requirements

Education:

  • Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits).

Experience:

  • No specific experience required, or
  • Four years of experience as a Department of State Aide (including two years at level E8 or one year at level 9), or
  • One year of college plus one year of experience as a Department of State Aide E8.

  • Pre-employment drug testing and criminal background checks are required.
  • For CDL positions, successful completion of CDL training and tests, and a background check are required.
