Pay Schedule I, Grade 19, Regular Schedule: 35 hours per week.
A vacancy exists in the Department of Aging for an Activity Coordinator.

Under supervision of the senior center director, provides administrative, operational, programming and technical assistance, enters data into WellSky and MySeniorCenter, and assists with program registration and membership renewals.
Performs other related duties as required.

Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent;
Plus
Two years successful experience as a playground leader, recreation leader, recreation specialist, teacher, or worker in a closely allied field.
Two years successful work experience at senior centers; with adult education, adult recreation, counseling, social work, community development or a closely related field.
This position may require possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a noncommercial class C Maryland driver's license at the time of appointment.
This position may require maintaining CPR/AED/First Aid and ServSafe certifications which must be maintained throughout employment.

Qualified applicants will be assigned a rating based on an evaluation of their training and experience, as submitted on their application and supplemental questions. Employees in this classification may be assigned to work nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
The work of this classification entails some physical labor including walking over rough and uneven surfaces in the inspection of facilities and grounds, and some lifting and carrying of items.
The work entails travel to recreation and park sites, facilities, and meetings throughout the County.
