I am searching for a Department Manager (Ops Excellence Manager) who will be based in the PMO office of the end client undertaking a range of projects in their portfolio. The positions will be based in the Middle East on a residential contract for the duration of five years.

Key Responsibilities:
The role involves reviewing and updating policies, procedures, and quality assurance processes for the PMO, ensuring consistency with the PMM, and overseeing risk management, project monitoring, and reporting. It includes assessing PMO staff capabilities, implementing a knowledge transfer program, and establishing performance metrics, dashboards, and reports. Additionally, the role requires ensuring accurate project data input into PMIS systems and coordinating performance evaluations of contractors and consultants.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
– 20 years + experience in a project management environment on large scale projects
– Involvement in continuous improvement and capacity building/talent development.
– Working knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up/set-up work processes
– Expertise in site engineering, project controls, EHS, and contract management
