Dandy in Carrollton, TX, is hiring a Manufacturing Department Manager to lead production workflows, equipment, and a 100+ technician team across three shifts in a high-velocity facility. You will drive quality improvements and ensure on-time fabrication for multiple product lines.

You will report to the Director of Manufacturing and work with Materials, Facilities, and Quality to scale operations while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing a department or large team in manufacturing.
• Ability to be full-time onsite in Carrollton, TX.
• Proven track record of improving KPIs at team/department level.
• Comfortable performing data analysis and making decisions based on results.
• Experience reporting on performance metrics in recurring business meetings.
• Data-driven problem solver who can deliver results quickly (3–5 days).

We are looking for a Manufacturing Department Manager to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. The Department Manager will oversee production workflows, equipment, team members, and quality across our 5 product lines in a state-of-the-art Manufacturing Facility in Carrollton, TX. In this role, you will manage a team of 100+ technicians and 7 directs across 3 shifts in a 24/5 operation. You will be responsible for ensuring that orders are fabricated at the highest quality standards while meeting customer deadlines. What You'll Do

• Continuously seek opportunities to improve workflows and processes for optimal efficiency, cost reduction, and scalability

• Outline, track, and report on key performance indicators to drive accountability and informed decision-making to help the facility reach new levels

• Quickly troubleshoot and solve people, process, and technology issues as you operate within a large-scale, fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Monitor and enforce adherence to strict manufacturing quality standards (including equipment maintenance and repair) and roll up your sleeves to lead by example where needed. High quality is key to efficient scalability!

• Lead, scale, and continuously train a team of 40+ technicians as they execute daily operational tasks across 3D printing, milling, finishing, injection processing, and assembly

• Work with other teams (Materials, Facilities, Quality, etc.) to proactively identify and address high-priority improvement opportunities

• Report directly to the facility’s Director of Manufacturing

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience managing a department or large team in a manufacturing environment, ideally in complex or ambiguous settings

• Ability to be full-time onsite in Carrollton, TX

• Proven track record of improving KPIs at a team and/or department level

• Comfortable performing data analysis and making decisions based on the results

• Experience reporting on performance metrics during recurring business meetings

• Passion for breaking down complex problems into smaller manageable steps to help team members effectively work through ambiguity

• High level of comfort with digital tools and technology

• Very high attention to detail and organizational skills

• Team player attitude and willingness to help others to help the team exceed expectations

• Natural curiosity and ability to learn new concepts, tools, and workflows quickly

• Strong self-motivation, self-direction, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders to push improvement initiatives to completion

• Excellent communication, change management, and stakeholder management skills

• Data-driven problem solver who can deliver results quickly (e.g., resolving complex issues in 3-5 days)

Bonus Points For

• Previously built and/or led departments in a manufacturing environment, including operational infrastructure (e.g., inventory management systems, written SOPs)

• Experience scaling teams and operations in high-growth environments

• Bachelors in Mechanical, Industrial and/or manufacturing engineering.
