Responsibilities

All World Wide Wings Manager Responsibilities

  1. Heart of House Department Manager
    • Primary responsibility for the Heart of House (HOH) area, management of all food/product matters and HOH staff planning and development.
    • Maintain a safe environment and improve bottom line profitability through appropriate revenue and labor management.
    • Assist the General Manager with overseeing the entire restaurant, supervising day‑to‑day operations on a shift‑by‑shift basis.
    • Develop direct reports by creating action/development plans when necessary.
    • Coordinate with other Department Managers on hiring decisions to ensure growth opportunities for Team Members.
    • Create weekly department schedules within budgeted labor guidelines, balancing team member needs and business needs.
    • Implement incentive programs and contests for the department and motivate Team Members to participate in all company promotions.
    • Provide regular performance feedback, including timely performance appraisals and development plans.
    • Administer semi‑annual merit increase process.
    • Assist the General Manager with coaching other managers on effective performance management procedures.
    • Utilize World Wide Wings support teams/subject matter experts when necessary or required.
    • Communicate effectively to direct reports through departmental meetings on a timely basis.
    • Ensure all department Team Members have current state required training and permits.
    • Actively look for and identify techniques to attract new guests.
    • Manage the restaurant's Guest Comment program, ensuring food quality complaints are handled promptly.
    • Use the Guest Experience Management (GEM) program to provide feedback to Team Members and adjust procedures for overall satisfaction.
    • Facilitate and ensure adherence to new food product rollouts.
    • Communicate with food vendors, holding them accountable for delivering high‑quality product on time.
    • Ensure menu specs, wall charts, and department specific systems are utilized and adhered to.
    • Analyze restaurant performance tools (GEM, QSCs, audits, P&L) and troubleshoot problems.
    • Create action plans to address issues and follow up with department Team Members.
    • Perform administrative manager functions such as entering invoices, inventory, and end‑of‑day procedures.
    • Monitor department equipment and report repair needs through the facility management system.
    • Operate the department in compliance with all applicable Board of Health and standard food safety practices.
    • Correct BOH and Steritech issues immediately.
  2. Bar Department Manager
    • Supervise the operation of the bar department on a shift‑by‑shift basis.
    • Manage all adult beverage matters, including ordering, inventory control, and Responsible Alcohol Service (RAS) compliance.
    • Plan, hire, train, develop and motivate Bartenders and Bar Servers.
    • Maintain a safe environment and improve bottom line profitability through revenue management.
    • Analyze performance tools (GEM, QSCs, audits, P&L) and troubleshoot problems, creating action plans and following up with bartenders and bar servers.
    • Perform administrative manager functions such as entering invoices and end‑of‑day procedures.
    • Monitor all bar equipment, ensuring it is functioning and producing high‑quality products.
    • Facilitate and ensure adherence to new bar product/promotions rollouts.
    • Communicate with beer and alcohol vendors, holding them accountable for timely delivery of high‑quality product.
    • Ensure bar systems (alcohol incident log, bar line check, prep lists) are utilized and adhered to.
    • Communicate areas of opportunity to bartenders, bar servers and management team.
  3. Hospitality Manager
    • Supervise the operation of the restaurant on a shift‑by‑shift basis, with primary responsibility for dining room service.
    • Plan hospitality Team Member schedules and development.
    • Assist the General Manager with the execution of the Local Restaurant Marketing program.
    • Create, develop and implement sales building incentive contests.
Qualifications
  • Two or more years of restaurant or hospitality management experience.
  • Passion and commitment to a fast‑paced environment that includes wings, beer, and sports.
  • Team‑focused, championing the success of Team Members.
  • Ability to build a loyal, high‑performing team.
  • Open availability, including late nights and weekends.
  • Highly motivated, self‑directed, and results driven with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical computations.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Maintain confidential information; adhere to and enforce company policies, programs, and compliance issues.
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license to travel between units.
  • Satisfactory background check and ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
  • Completion of Buffalo Wild Wings Management Certification program.
  • Experience managing a restaurant with a full bar is preferred.
  • Ability to create a fun, exciting environment for both guests and Team Members.
