Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on providing fast and friendly customer service.
- Assist customers by making product suggestions and engage in suggestive selling via telephone, intercom announcements, and in-store interactions.
- Respond to incoming calls, resolve customer complaints, and report to the Store Director as needed.
- Manage total store operations in the absence of the Store Director.
- Plan daily operations, monitor production, and ensure profitability.
- Build displays, rotate stock, discard outdated products, and ensure cleanliness.
- Implement promotional displays and maintain department standards.
- Monitor employee productivity, evaluate performance, and schedule staff to ensure coverage.
- Supervise, train, and assign duties to department employees, including opening and closing tasks.
- Train employees on store policies, sales, and record-keeping procedures, and identify high-potential employees for advancement.
- Ensure proper code dating for products and enforce compliance.
- Handle personnel actions such as interviews, transfers, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Prepare sales and inventory reports, conduct physical inventories, and control inventory levels.
- Order merchandise, maintain stock levels, and supervise reclamation processes.
- Control shrinkage and costs, and operate related equipment safely.
