Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation’s Raymond, NH store is seeking a motivated team member to deliver legendary customer service, manage department inventory and pricing, and execute merchandising plans. You will place and track orders, oversee receiving and bin tagging, and handle customer concerns with courtesy.

You will train assigned staff, lead by example, and support store operations during promotions and meetings, contributing to a positive shopping experience for the community.

Roles and Responsibilites

• Provide “legendary” customer service in their department
• Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure service of our customer as well as maximum turn and profit
• Pricing
• Merchandising and display
• Place necessary merchandise orders
• Oversee receiving, pricing, and bin tagging of department merchandise
• Handle department-related customer complaints as needed; courteously, timely and discreetly
• Oversee special departmental orders
• Training of assigned store personnel
• Knowledge of overall store policies, procedures and goals and how his/her assigned department affects and is affected by them
• Ability to motivate and lead assigned staff
• Knowledge of management responsibilities and ability to serve as back-up for General Manager or Assistant Store Manager, filling in for same as needed
• Attend and participate in store meetings
• Other tasks and responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned by the Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, or owners
• Greet and assist customers on the sales floor
• Resolve customer claims and complaints in a manner that is timely, courteous and discreet
• Set a positive example by following company procedures
• Ensure that departmental sales staff are ready for all promotions
• Resolve any IT issues
