Job summary

Pharmavite is seeking a Lead to inspire manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, cost, and reliability targets on a 6 PM–6:30 AM shift (2-2-3 schedule). You’ll model our values, drive schedule adherence, and communicate shop-floor issues to the Operations Engineer.

The role requires at least four years in manufacturing/CPG with supervisory experience; Six Sigma/Lean preferred. You’ll coach teams, analyze material usage, and ensure safe, compliant operations while controlling costs.

Position Summary:

The overall responsibility of the Lead role is to inspire manufacturing operations to achieve timely daily, weekly, and monthly results in the areas of safety, quality, cost, and reliability while meeting department schedule adherence and attainment goals. Models Pharmavite’s purpose, beliefs, and values for their employees by: embedding a first-time right mentality to reduce operational NCRs and reject/destruction costs, promoting robust root cause problem solving/CAPA development capability within their team, and meeting schedule adherence and attainment goals to deliver customer requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and set the standard and tone for their team by modeling Pharmavite’s purpose, beliefs, and values while driving meeting schedule adherence and attainment goals to deliver customer requirements while meeting deadlines.
  • Ensure productivity, safety, housekeeping, and quality product goals are met/exceeded; coordinate daily scheduling with other departments to facilitate flow of materials and finished goods through the department.
  • Monitor operations of the shift while sustaining changes to ensure a first-time-right mentality.
  • Collaborate with Production Planning, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Distribution, HR, Tech Ops, Engineering, Planning, Operational Excellence, and Receiving departments to expedite and facilitate flow of raw materials, compounds, bulk, and finished product through the department. Is the point person to communicate shop floor issues to the Operations Engineer.
  • Investigate NCRs working in partnership with Quality to drive root cause problem-solving with urgency.
  • Champion/coach teams on AM projects.
  • Perform analysis of raw material usage and product yields to ensure we meet or exceed standards.
  • Prioritize work to ensure customer, quality, and safety needs are met and/or exceeded, positively impacting production metrics.
  • Ensure safe practices are being performed, and unsafe behaviors and conditions are corrected.
  • Provide technical support for staff for equipment and processes (troubleshoots and develops control techniques).
  • Oversee and ensure operating expenditures meet or exceed expectations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education:
  • A four-year degree or its equivalent combination of education/relevant work experience is required.
Certification:
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean/Continuous Improvement experience preferred
Experience:
  • Requires a minimum of four years’ experience in manufacturing/CPG, to include supervisory/leadership experience. Specific experience in the department to which applied is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Competent knowledge of SOPs and cGMPs within a CPG environment
  • Experience working within a rapidly evolving environment, able to adjust to changing job requirements.
  • Experience leading and coaching AM projects.
  • Experience performing auditing in areas related to cGMPs, Batch Record Accuracy, and TPM requirements
  • Good organizational, analytical, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, JD Edwards MRP, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Working knowledge in MRP, WMS, & radio frequency systems.
  • Ability to lead delivery of required results in Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost each shift, ensuring that succeeding shifts are set up for success.
  • Experience coaching, developing, and building high-performing teams; including cross-training and empowering individuals.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate operational tasks and duties.
  • General manufacturing experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment preferred. Depending on the department assigned, the flexibility to work either 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend on an alternate date schedule, may be required.
Environment:
  • Exposure to disagreeable elements as may be found in a typical manufacturing environment is moderate but constant.
  • Must be able to work a 6 PM to 6:30 AM shift on a 2-2-3 schedule.
Safety:
  • The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely without endangering the health or safety of self or others
Supervisory Responsibility:
  • The incumbent has direct supervisory responsibility for 15 to 25 employees.

National Target Base Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $133,000.00.

The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and the New York metro, the Target Base Pay Range is $88,000.00 - $146,000.00, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas.

Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k) match, and other wellness benefits.
