Job summary

Helpful Hardware Company is seeking an Hourly Manager to lead store operations and provide exceptional customer service during assigned shifts. You will supervise department teammates, ensure merchandising standards, inventory accuracy, and locker room readiness while coaching staff for peak performance.

The role requires strong communication and leadership, with the ability to train new hires, manage daily tasks, and uphold service standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail experience, preferably in a hardware or home improvement environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Forklift Certification required or ability to obtain.
• Propane Certification required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department operations, ensure shelves stocked, pricing accurate, and promotions current.
• Serve as MOD for assigned shifts, ensuring store operations and customer experience.
• Deliver outstanding service, greet customers, identify needs, and provide product knowledge.
• Train associates on department products and customer interactions; maintain standards.
• Lead merchandising and displays; implement promotional strategies and maintain order.
