Summary of Position: Indiana Wesleyan University’s School of Integrated Learning and Development (SILD) seeks an innovative, mission-driven leader to serve as Department Chair and Full-Time Faculty in Secondary Education Licensure. This role oversees undergraduate and graduate licensure programs serving diverse adult learners across the Transition to Teaching (TTT) and BSIS with Secondary Concentration pathways.
We’re looking for an educator who is creative in design, bold in leadership, and ready to reimagine what excellent teacher preparation looks like—especially in the online space. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a secondary content area and a proven commitment to equity, faith-informed pedagogy, and transformative adult learning.
This position combines teaching, program oversight, and adjunct mentoring, with significant involvement in curriculum innovation, accreditation alignment, and digital learning strategy. Faculty in this role contribute directly to shaping the next generation of secondary educators who will lead with purpose and impact.
