Department Assistant (Call Center) - Occupational Health

Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

We are seeking a Department Assistant to support our call center, helping coordinate patient scheduling and clinic operations. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless experience for our patients and providers while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Answer and direct calls, schedule appointments, and provide administrative support to the Occupational Health team.
  • Assist in managing patient records and coordinating with clinics across multiple locations.
  • Work closely with providers and staff to ensure efficient scheduling and workflow.
  • Support front desk check-in as needed at clinic locations.

What You Will Do:

The Department Assistant is responsible to perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties in an organized, timely and accurate manner. This individual is primarily responsible for scheduling appointment in the EPIC Electronic Health Record System.

Other Responsibilities Include:

Promptly answers/responds to phone calls, voicemails, and emails.
Coordinates departmental new hire orientation including issuing equipment and supplies, providing a tour and introductions, reviewing non-clinical policies and providing overview of computer, voicemail, etc.
Updates departmental policies and procedures.
Coordinates computers for clinical staff including issuing, ordering accessories, keeping equipment charged and supplied, and troubleshooting.
Assists in updating and maintaining staff schedule calendars.
Updates departmental website as needed.


What you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Related experience preferred.
  • EPIC experience needed at this time *CA #LI-MO
