Job summary

Rutgers University in New Jersey seeks a Department Administrator Supervisor for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the School of Engineering. This role reports to both the department chair and the Dean’s Business Office and oversees daily operations, facilities coordination, and budget matters.

You will act as the liaison for internal and external stakeholders, supervise staff, and ensure effective administration and equal opportunity commitments across the department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business and administration, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/orexperience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles and practices, office administration, work organization, coordination, and facilitation.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in a financial/accounting/business function and managerial/supervisory experience, excellent communication skills, and computer literacy.
  • Preferred: knowledge of Rutgers applications such as HCM, ARS, and ROCS.
