Job summary

Fourways Consulting in Denver, CO seeks a Senior Firmware Developer for a contract role onsite 4 days/week. You will design, develop, optimize, and debug embedded software for RDK-based devices such as set-top boxes, gateways, and routers using C++, Python, and Perl in embedded Linux (Yocto/Buildroot).

You’ll work with hardware teams to implement RTOS tasks, device drivers, and multiple communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, TCP/IP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in embedded software and firmware engineering.
• Strong coding proficiency in C++ (11/14/17), Python, and Perl.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust firmware and embedded software using C++ (11/14/17), Python, and Perl.
• Build, configure, and maintain embedded Linux environments using Yocto and Buildroot.
• Develop and optimize RTOS tasks and hardware abstraction layers.
