Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to establish its first Denver office and build the electrical practice for semiconductor fabs, life sciences plants, research labs, and industrial facilities. The role is based in the Denver, CO area.

You will lead design and project delivery, mentor engineers, and collaborate with other offices to staff and deliver projects, including power distribution, short circuit studies, and coordination with process, mechanical, and controls

Qualifications

Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical) with Colorado registration or the ability to obtain it.
Experience leading electrical design for industrial, semiconductor, life sciences, or other process-driven facilities.
Desire to learn and grow into the new role.

Responsibilities

Serve as the firm's local point of contact for clients in the region.
Hire, mentor, and develop engineers and designers as the office grows.
Work with the firm's other offices to staff and deliver projects.
Design power distribution for industrial/critical facilities including low- and medium-voltage distribution, motor controls, lighting, standby generation, and fire alarm.
Lead electrical design from basis of design through construction documents, construction administration, and startup.
Coordinate with process, mechanical, and controls engineers on integrated facility designs.
Review and seal drawings and calculations as Engineer of Record.
