Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Denver-based Regional Civil Engineering Lead to grow our civil engineering practice in the region. The role is on-site with hybrid flexibility and focuses on land development, municipal infrastructure, and transportation projects.

You will lead a team of EITs and PEs, manage a personal project portfolio, and drive new business in the Denver market while ensuring quality and on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree.
• 10+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Licensed PE in the state where hiring occurs.
• Current NCEES license.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead regional engineering teams.
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary design groups.
• Proven experience in land development, transportation, and municipal civil engineering.
• Established local/regional business development network with seller-doer experience.
• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with WaterCAD, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis, ArcGIS, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (Teams).
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a regional civil engineering team of EITs and PEs.
• Manage a personal portfolio of civil engineering projects from proposal to delivery.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Denver market.
• Provide oversight and quality control for project plans, calculations, reports, and specs.
• Apply knowledge of codes, permitting, and jurisdictional processes.
• Develop project budgets, cost estimates, and staffing plans; lead major pursuits.
• Build and strengthen client relationships and internal leadership partnerships.

ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
