Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Regional Denver Lead – Civil Engineer to head the Denver civil engineering practice on-site with hybrid flexibility. The role manages land development, municipal infrastructure and transportation projects while maintaining a personal project portfolio.

The position requires 10+ years of experience, an ABET-accredited degree, and active PE licensure with NCEES. Strong leadership and client development skills are essential for success in this market.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required.
• 10+ years civil engineering experience.
• Licensed PE in the hiring state with current NCEES license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a regional civil engineering team of EITs and PEs.
• Manage a personal portfolio from proposal to delivery, including budgets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and contracts in Denver.
• Provide oversight and quality control for plans, calculations, reports, and specs.
• Apply codes, permitting, and jurisdictional processes across land development and municipal projects.
• Develop project budgets, staffing plans, and lead major pursuit interviews.
• Build strong client relationships and internal leadership partnerships.
