Job summary

WW Clyde is seeking an Estimator to prepare contract proposal estimates for heavy civil projects, focusing on earthwork and land development. The role demands evaluating drawings, specs, and cost data to deliver accurate estimates and ensure competitive bids.

Ideal candidates hold a civil engineering or related degree with experience in earthwork estimation and proficiency in HCSS, Trimble, BlueBeam, and Primavera P6. Full-time on-site in Denver, CO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposal estimates for heavy civil construction, primarily earthwork and land development.
• Review specifications and drawings to determine scope and required contents of estimate.
• Prepare estimates by calculating takeoffs of scope of work.
• Develop accurate estimated costs to complete the scope.
• Maintain estimating cost data base to keep costs up to date.
• Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost and materials.
• Obtain bids from subcontractors.
• Support other departments as required.
