Job summary

Gensler is seeking a Project Manager/Design Manager to lead critical facilities projects in our Denver office. You will manage scope, schedule, budgets, and team coordination to deliver high-performance data center and mission-critical facilities.

Qualified candidates have 15+ years’ experience in architecture and PM, a Bachelor's in Architecture, and a professional license or LEED credentials are preferred. This full-time, on-site role offers competitive salary and benefits in Denver.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• 15+ years of relevant experience with architecture and project management.
• Professional license or certification preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Experience negotiating project scope and fees; fiscal responsibility.
• Experience with full project lifecycle, including post-occupancy.
• Knowledge of building codes and structures.
• Experience with project management software such as MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership to client and team by communicating objectives, scope, terms, and schedule.
• Provide strategically minded design support for organization, production and execution of projects.
• Manage scheduling, budgets, staffing, and project setup with clients, subcontractors, vendors and contractors.
• Prepare project proposals and negotiate contracts and fees; bid projects to multiple general contractors.
• Track and manage financial performance of project (work plan, schedule, fees, change orders, billings, collections).
• Manage project lifecycle; estimating, bidding, kick-off, weekly coordination, punch list, turnover, opening, close-out.
• Guide and mentor junior designers across multiple projects in a collaborative manner.
• Promote interdisciplinary design approach across team and office.
