Job summary

Thunder Bay Community Health Service, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Dentist to join our dental team. You will provide comprehensive, patient-centered dental care in a compassionate, ethical environment and support access to high-quality services in the communities we serve.

The ideal candidate holds a D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited school, maintains current Michigan licensure, and shares a commitment to collaborative care, education, and community health.

Qualifications

• D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited dental school.
• Current and appropriate licensure and certifications as required by the State of Michigan Board of Dentistry, Board of Pharmacy, and US DEA.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• A patient-centered approach and commitment to compassionate, high-quality dental care.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of preventive and restorative dental services within the scope of general dentistry.
• Evaluate patients through dental history, examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Develop and present treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical priorities.
• Deliver high-quality dental care in a professional, ethical, and compassionate manner.
• Maintain complete, timely, and accurate patient documentation within the EHR.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to assigned dental team members, as appropriate.
• Supervise interns as assigned.
