Torrance State Hospital is currently seeking a skilled Dentist to join our staff and help some of Pennsylvania's most vulnerable citizens. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide a positive experience for our consumers and work alongside other dedicated professionals. As a Dentist, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the overall health and well-being of consumers. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough examinations, diagnosing oral and dental issues, and creating treatment plans to address any concerns. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with medical staff and provide valuable expertise on oral and dental health to enhance the quality of care for consumers. Other duties include conducting training sessions for other dental staff to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest techniques and standards. Furthermore, you will oversee the operation of the dental lab, ensuring that all safety measures are in place and that the highest quality products are being produced for consumers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • There will be floating hours according to the needs of the hospital.
  • Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Special Requirement:

  • You must be in possession of a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
