Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs invites applications for a dental position in Oklahoma City. The incumbent will perform comprehensive dental care, including exams, restorations, extractions, implants and periodontal procedures, in a on-site clinical setting.

This role offers EDRP eligibility with a potential education debt reduction benefit and requires adherence to VHA policies. Telework is not available; relocation incentives are not authorized.

Responsibilities

• Make oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity
• Diagnose pathological or irregular oral conditions
• Administer local anesthesia
• Perform routine and complex restoration of teeth
• Perform simple and complex extractions of teeth
• Perform alveoloplasty and other routine surgical procedures
• Perform prosthetic dentistry including dentures, crowns, and fixed bridges
• Perform routine and surgical periodontal procedures

• The major duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: - Make oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity - Diagnose pathological or irregular oral conditions

• - Perform prosthetic dentistry to include immediate dentures - full dentures - partial dentures - crowns and fixed bridge work
• - Perform routine and surgical periodontal procedures
• - Able to use Vista Scheduling applications when appropriate
• - The scope of practice that a specific provider may perform is defined through the medical center credentialing and privileging process
