Job Title: Pediatric Dentist (Part-Time)

Location: Upland, California

Position Type: Part-Time (1-2 days per week)

The ideal candidate should have an excellent bedside manner and be committed to providing care that makes patients feel like family. Our mission is to provide exceptional dental care in a warm, welcoming, and fun environment for children.

Job Description: As a Pediatric Dentist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to children, from infancy through adolescence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a gentle chairside manner, and the ability to educate both patients and their families about oral health.

Schedule: 1-2 days per week (days and hours are flexible).

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate, friendly, and patient-focused dental care.
  2. Work in a collaborative team environment.
  3. Conduct thorough examinations to determine overall dental health and evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection.
  4. Diagnose and treat dental problems including root canals, extractions, and restorations.
  5. Perform dental care treatments including x-rays, fillings, sealants, and cosmetic dental services.
  6. Consult with other dental specialists when necessary.
  7. Supervise staff.
  8. Provide education to patients on oral hygiene and use of orthodontics and dental appliances.
  9. Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines.
  10. Provide high-quality dental care to pediatric patients, including routine checkups, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and preventive care.
  11. Educate children and their parents on the importance of good oral hygiene and healthy dental habits.
  12. Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  13. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure the highest standards of care are met.

Qualifications:

  1. DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
  2. Current state license.
  3. CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications.
  4. Previous experience in clinical or private practice.
  5. Completed a pediatric dentistry residency.
  6. Valid California dental license and DEA certification.
  7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children and their families.
  8. Compassionate, friendly, and patient-focused approach to dental care.
  9. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  10. Deep understanding of dental standards and dental medicine trends.
  11. Excellent bedside manner.
  12. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
