Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. in Rifle, CO is seeking a licensed dentist to deliver high-quality dental care within a correctional facility. The role emphasizes patient-centered treatment, safety, and adherence to clinical standards.

The dentist will examine and treat patients, develop care plans, perform procedures, review X‑rays, and educate on oral hygiene. Schedule is Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7:00–17:00, part-time, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CO license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Dentist.
• DT certification and up-to-date compliance documents and training.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copies of current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records).

Responsibilities

• Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and oral health.
• Diagnose and treat dental conditions and diseases.
• Perform fillings, extractions, crowns, and other procedures.
• Develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Take and review dental X-rays and diagnostic images.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Prescribe medications when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Supervise dental hygienists and assistants.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently DT certified and up to date with all required compliance documents and training.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client‑specific requirements).
