***This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required.***

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Provides medical services at the scope and level of a Dentist to preserve the health of employees and client personnel.
  2. Provides instruction on diet, brushing, flossing, the use of fluorides, and other dental care aspects.
  3. Removes tooth decay, fills cavities, examines x-rays, straightens teeth, performs extractions, and repairs fractured teeth.
  4. Performs limited corrective surgery on gums and supporting bones to treat gum diseases.
  5. Administers anesthetics and writes prescriptions for antibiotics and other medications.
  6. Some settings may require stabilization of the patient and coordination of evacuation.
  7. Documents care delivered and follow-up care required.
  8. Maintains patient dignity and observes the American Hospital Association's Bill of Rights.
  9. Participates in meetings and task forces to improve quality, communicate issues, and stay updated on new developments and policies.
  10. Adheres to infection-control policies, medication procedures, and controlled substance regulations to protect patients and staff.
  11. Charts patient care services in patient and department records.
  12. Maintains inventory of nursing supplies and ensures proper storage and use of equipment and supplies.
  13. Records and maintains patient information per protocols and the Privacy Act.
  14. Ensures patient privacy and confidentiality.
  15. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Graduate degree from an accredited Dental School.
  2. Active, unrestricted Dental License with no pending adverse actions.
  3. Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Dentist.
  4. Recent clinical experience in patient care within the past year.
  5. CPR certification required.
  6. Ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, organized, and communicate effectively.
  7. Proficiency with computers and MS Office.
  8. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and adapt to changes.
  9. Favorable security background check and drug screen.
  10. Current certifications and proficiency in English.
  11. Adherence to safety policies and participation in safety initiatives.
  12. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  13. Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
  • Work is performed in an interior/office environment.
  • Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
