Job description

We are seeking a skilled General Dentist for a locum tenens position at a Clinic in Minnesota. This 60-day assignment starts on 05/05/2025, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing a range of dental procedures, including tooth extractions, 3-unit dental bridges, occasional root canals, dentures, crowns, fillings, and hygiene checks. This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive dental care to patients in a clinic setting, ensuring high-quality oral health services.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Perform tooth extractions as the primary oral surgery procedure
  2. Create and place 3-unit dental bridges
  3. Conduct root canal treatments when necessary
  4. Fabricate and fit dentures for patients
  5. Prepare and place dental crowns and fillings
  6. Perform routine hygiene checks and cleanings
  7. Diagnose and treat various dental conditions
  8. Develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients
  9. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
  10. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix software
  11. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to ensure efficient patient care
  12. Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols
  13. Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental techniques and technologies
  14. Provide emergency dental care when required
  15. Communicate effectively with patients about their oral health needs and treatment options
