Dentist Job Description

Office Hours & Practice Information

The practice is well-equipped with digital x-ray and panoramic imaging.

Patient Demographics

Primarily adult patients, with mostly PPO insurance and a small percentage of state insurance.

Compensation

Competitive starting pay to support new dentists in establishing their practice.

Responsibilities of the Dentist

• Diagnose patients' dental conditions using accepted clinical and radiological techniques.
• Assess dental health and coordinate appropriate consultations for treatment planning.
• Provide comprehensive dental treatments to address oral health needs.
• Perform routine exams, simple extractions, restorations, prosthetic services, prophylaxis, and fluoride treatments.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
• Manage administrative functions of the dental practice.
• Supervise dental hygienists and assistants.

Requirements

• DMD or DDS degree from an accredited dental school.
• Current NC dental license and DEA registration.
• Willingness to live and become part of the Wilmington community.
