Dentist Job Description

Office Hours

Practice Information

The practice is well-equipped with digital x-ray and panoramic imaging.

Patient Age Range

Adult patients, primarily PPO insurance, with a small percentage of state insurance.

Compensation

Competitive starting pay to support a new dentist’s establishment in the community.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose patients' dental health using accepted clinical and radiological techniques.
• Assess dental conditions and coordinate appropriate consultations for treatment planning.
• Provide comprehensive dental treatments to meet oral health needs.
• Perform routine exams, simple extractions, restorations, prosthetic services, prophylaxis, and fluoride treatments.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
• Manage administrative duties of the dental practice.
• Supervise dental hygienists and assistants.

Requirements

• DMD or DDS degree from an accredited dental school
• VA license and DEA certification
• Willingness to live and become part of the Virginia Beach community
• Proficiency in all aspects of general dentistry
