Blue Jay Dental seeks an experienced General Dentist for Columbus, GA, to start immediately.

Job Purpose

As a licensed dentist, a general dentist provides comprehensive dental services, including diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform general dentistry services, including diagnosis and treatment of oral health issues.
2. Examine patients to determine the nature of their dental conditions, utilizing x-rays, dental instruments, and other diagnostic tools.
3. Clean, fill, extract, and replace teeth using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical tools.
4. Provide preventive dental care and educate patients on oral hygiene practices.
5. Coordinate laboratory services for the dental office.
6. Adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of protective equipment and compliance with OSHA/Bloodborne Pathogen standards.
7. Participate in morning huddles, chart reviews, and routine office meetings.
8. Perform all other duties permitted under applicable state laws and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Commitment to delivering quality patient care and educating patients about dental health.
• Effective communication skills; demonstrate professionalism and courtesy with patients.

Qualifications (Experience, Education, Licensure, Certification)

• DDS or DMD degree; licensed in the practicing state or eligible for licensure upon graduation.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
• Completion of a GPR or AEGD residency is preferred.
