Job summary

The Indian Health Service seeks an experienced Dentist in the United States to provide comprehensive dental care, including exams, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery and emergencies. You will also manage complex cases and coordinate with medical providers to support state-of-the-art, patient-centered care for American Indian communities.

You will educate patients, maintain records, participate in quality improvement and infection

Qualifications

• Professional dentistry degree (DDS/DMD) and license to practice dentistry.
• Completion of required residency/training as applicable for GS-12 level.
• Experience in comprehensive dental care and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive dental care including exams, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery and emergencies.
• Independently evaluates and manages complex dental conditions and coordinates care with medical providers.
• Delivers patient education and preventive care, addressing diverse cultural and socioeconomic needs.
• Provides consultation to healthcare teams on dental health and its impact on overall health.
• Maintains clinical records, participates in quality improvement, infection control, and program operations.
