Base pay range
$167,148.80/yr - $204,276.80/yr

As part of the dental team, you work with a team of professionals (Medical provider, Nutritionist, Behavior health and other services) to help patients achieve overall health wellness. We provide comprehensive dental care to all ages with a focus on continuity of care. We strive for work life balance. Hours: Monday – Friday from 8-5pm
Salary: hourly per position for DA/RDA/Sterilization/leads; yearly salary for Supervisor/Manager/Dentist

FTE: 40 hours a week, 1.0 FTE, (Full Time Employment)
Annual Salary: $167,148.8 to $204,276.80 (Based on a 40 hour work week)

JOB SUMMARY: The Dentist position is responsible for providing clinical and preventive dental services to patients. The Staff Dentist is also responsible to participate in additional duties which promotes and furthers dental awareness and health in the community
KNOWLEDGE OF WORK
Knowledge of federal, state, local and dental clinic rules regulations, protocols and procedures governing the practice of dentistry, as well as those relating to personnel issues, work place safety, public health and confidentiality
Knowledge of Federally Qualified Health Centers
Knowledge of HIPPA and OSHA
Ability to work with a multi-cultural population
Duties And Responsibilities
The dentist is the head of the dental care team and operates per patient needs (hours/days)
Examine, diagnose, prescribe and carry out appropriate dental/oral treatment, or refer individuals for specialty care, in conformance with clinical guidelines
Educate patients on treatment options including pros and cons of specific treatments and alternatives where applicable
Provide basic dental services to as many people as possible while maintaining a level of quality care which is equal to or greater than that of the private sector
Achieve and maintain a high level of competency in clinical dentistry with special emphasis on areas of unique benefit in the dental clinic setting, such as pediatric dentistry, emergency dental treatment, extractions and prevention of dental care
Record patient-dentist transactions as they occur in the patient’s dental record so that the record accurately reflects the nature of the contact, the condition of the patient and the care or treatment provided. Make appropriate written referrals and obtain appropriate written consent when necessary
Educate and motivate individuals and their families toward prevention of oral disease
Comply fully with all applicable federal, state, local and dental clinic rules regulations, protocols and procedures governing the practice of dentistry, as well as those relating to personnel issues, work place safety, public health and confidentiality
Assist in the orientation and training of auxiliaries and other staff
Attend dental staff meetings and general staff meetings
Cooperate fully in any risk management activity or investigation
Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of performance-improvement activities such as quality assurance, peer review, and staff development
Maintain a team approach to dentistry by assisting other dentists and staff as necessary to allow for efficiency, flow and quality of dental care
Provide consultation to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors regarding dental and oral health issues in the absence of the Dental Director
Assist in the coordination and integration of all dental clinic outreach programs as directed by the Dental Director
Perform other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, Training
- Must have a DDS or DMD from an accredited school of dentistry.
- Must be licensed to practice dentistry in the State of California.
- Must possess or obtain a DEA registration.
- Must maintain CEUs as required for license renewal.
- Must certify and remain current in CPR.
CommuniCare+OLE requires pre-employment drug-testing (4-panel drug-test includes: amphetamines, cocaine, opiates, and PCP).
