The Division Chief for Prosth­odontics at MUSC will provide academic, clinical, and administrative leadership for the Division within the College of Dental Medicine. The role oversees the Pre-Doctoral Digital Dentistry Clinic, Removable Prosthodontics Clinic, and Implant Prosthodontics Clinic, and reports to the Department Chair.

Division Chief for the Division of Prosthodontics

MUSC is seeking applications for the position of Division Chief for the Division of Prosthodontics in the College of Dental Medicine, Department of Reconstructive and Rehabilitation Sciences, at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.

The Division Chief will provide academic, clinical, and administrative leadership for the Division of Prosthodontics and will report directly to the Department Chair. The Chief will provide leadership for the Pre-Doctoral Digital Dentistry Clinic, Removable Prosthodontics Clinic, and Implant Prosthodontics Clinic, as well as the Division's faculty and educational activities.

The Division provides classroom and clinical instruction to pre-doctoral dental students and contributes to graduate dental education through the Digital Dentistry Residency and AEGD Residency. The Division's educational and clinical activities encompass removable prosthodontics, implant prosthodontics, and digital dentistry.

The Chief will work collaboratively with faculty and leaders across all disciplines within the CDM to advance interdisciplinary education, clinical care, and innovation. Successful candidates will contribute to the continued development and integration of digital workflows and technologies in prosthodontic education and clinical care.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a DDS, DMD, or equivalent dental degree
• Completed a CODA-accredited prosthodontics residency program. Candidates who are board certified or board eligible are preferred.
• Demonstrate experience in dental education, educational innovation, and the integration of technology into teaching and clinical care. Demonstrated leadership experience, teaching experience, scholarly activity, and/or research experience are preferred.
• Must hold/eligible to obtain, a SC dental license or teaching license.

Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience. Participation in the Dental Faculty Practice is expected.
