Job summary

42North Dental in Connecticut seeks a Doctor of Dental Medicine or Doctor of Dental Surgery to lead full clinical patient care. The role encompasses exams, treatment planning, and delivering comprehensive dental services across specialties, with emphasis on prevention and patient education.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from an ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice dentistry in the relevant state.
• Vaccination against Hepatitis B is required.
• Proof of malpractice insurance is required.
• Corizon/CPR certification (BLS/CPR) is required.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention
• Diagnose oral diseases
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health
• Review treatment plan options with patients
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records
• Review and interpret x‑rays and diagnostic tests
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients
• Maintain the highest standard of ethics and professionalism
• Stay updated on new developments and best practices through continuing education

Education

DMD or DDS degree
