DENTIST SCHEDULE:

• Part-Time
• 4 hours/week

DENTIST POSITION SUMMARY

The Dentist provides dental services, directs patient clinical examinations, and treats patients' needs as indicated.

DENTIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform and interpret radiographic exams as indicated.
• Provide dental treatment, including emergency care, oral surgery, restorative dentistry, and periodontal therapy within the scope of a general Dentist, including extractions.
• Address significant oral health issues that may impact inmate health.
• Make referrals for procedures beyond the facility's capabilities.
• Report unusual occurrences or accidents to the site or Regional Medical Director and attend required training and meetings.

DENTIST MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Maintain a current DEA number.
• Be licensed in the state.
• Be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding).
• Support teamwork and demonstrate collaborative skills.
• Make independent decisions when necessary.
• Handle interactions tactfully with personnel, patients, visitors, and agencies.
• Possess leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Ensure safety and health standards are met, posing no threat to others.
