This position plays a key role in providing quality dental care at Promise Healthcare. The primary focus includes examining, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for infections and injuries to the teeth and mouth. The Dentist should have an interest in community health and a passion for creating a dental home for underserved populations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide general and comprehensive dentistry services to children and adults
  • Assist with the development of clinical dental policies and procedures
  • Diagnose and evaluate dental conditions, maintaining accurate dental records
  • Interpret x-rays and treat mouth diseases
  • Provide restorations and other treatments as needed
  • Perform emergency procedures to reduce or eliminate pain
  • Assess treatment options and develop treatment plans with patients
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and dental care
  • Contribute to Dental Quality Assurance initiatives
  • Train and evaluate dental staff
  • Educate individuals on oral health and disease prevention
  • Ensure patient satisfaction and maintain positive relationships
  • Work in conditions involving exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious materials
  • Perform manipulative skills with fine motor coordination
  • Demonstrate interpersonal and administrative skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited dental school
  • Knowledge of public health principles
  • Preferred 2-4 years experience in community health or with underserved populations
  • Current dental license for Illinois
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and transportation
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Proposed salary range: $159,000 to $175,000.
