Job summary

The Indian Health Service seeks a dentist to provide comprehensive, patient-centered dental care in Oklahoma. You will perform examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and diverse procedures across dentistry disciplines.

Collegial collaboration with medical teams, emphasis on prevention, and addressing diverse cultural needs are central to this role. Licensure and credentialing are required for clinical practice within federal facilities.

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD degree from an ADA/CODA-accredited program.
• Current license to practice dentistry in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive dental care including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and emergencies.
• Independently evaluates and manages complex dental conditions and coordinates care with medical providers.
• Delivers patient education and preventive care, addressing diverse cultural and socioeconomic needs.
• Consults and guides other healthcare providers on dental health impacts on overall health.
• Maintains clinical records and participates in quality improvement and infection control.
