Job summary

Indian Health Service seeks a Dentist to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered dental care for American Indian communities. You will diagnose, treat, and manage complex cases and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve community health and advance equity.

Qualifications

• Education: DMD or DDS from ADA/CODA approved program.
• Licensure: current full license to practice dentistry in a U.S. state/DC/PR/territory.
• Experience: one or more full years of professional dentistry work or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive dental care including exams, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorations, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and emergencies.
• Evaluates and manages complex dental conditions and coordinates with medical providers for medically/behaviorally complex patients.
• Delivers patient education and preventive care, addressing diverse cultural and socioeconomic needs.
• Provides consultation to healthcare providers and staff on dental health and its impact on overall health.
• Maintains records, supports quality improvement, infection control, program operations, and participates in committees and planning.

Education

Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)
