Job summary

Advantage Health in Detroit, Michigan, seeks a licensed dentist to provide comprehensive dental services at clinical sites in accordance with current techniques and guidelines. You will work under the Chief Medical Officer to deliver high-quality care and improve oral health in the community.

The role includes diagnosing and treating patients, educating families, coordinating with staff on treatment plans, and supervising students.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited dental school.
• Valid DEA license to prescribe narcotics.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• A valid license to practice dentistry in Michigan.
• Two (2) years experience in dental practice.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment to patients within the scope of practice of a general dentist.
• Educate patients and parents of patients on maintaining proper oral health.
• Communicate with dental staff on our team regarding patient treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications as necessary.
• Carefully document all medications, diagnosed, treatments and consultations.
• Supervise the work of professional, technical and administrative staff.
• Provides supervision and mentorship for students.
• Develops resources that can be used for referrals.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
