Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a full-time Dentist Anesthesiologist for its Division of Pediatric Dentistry. The role entails providing advanced anesthesia and pain management within a dynamic pediatric patient care environment while engaging in education and training of dental residents. Ideal candidates must have a D.M.D. or D.D.S. and relevant residency experience, with opportunities for direct impact on patient care and educational excellence.
The Division of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at Cincinnati Children’s seeks to recruit a full-time Dentist Anesthesiologist faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
The successful candidate with partner with world-class pediatric dental faculty members to provide advanced anesthesia and pain management for dental and oral surgeries. Clinically, the practice environment includes over 30,000 visits per year across 2 clinics and 4 operating room sites. We enjoy a busy level 1 trauma service and are strongly committed to excellence in resuscitation procedures and team-based work.
The division is internationally recognized for clinical and educational excellence in; Management of hospitalized patients, non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic behavior guidance, procedural sedation and practice simulation-based training of residents. The division is comprised of seven (7) primary full-time faculty, all of whom are involved in patient care. Additionally, the faculty has three (3) regular part-time faculty. The dentist anesthesiologist will be providing care in the operating room and in-office general anesthesia suite for our pediatric dentists. They will also be involved in education of pediatric dental residents didactically and clinically.
The division serves a two-fold primary mission:
1. Care of hospitalized, fragile, and immunocompromised patients that includes those with special needs.
2. Regional safety net clinic serving all underserved populations in neighboring counties in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, as well as across the country and globe.
