Job Description

This Position is Contingent on Contract Award. This role supports a proposed repatriation initiative, providing comprehensive care for migrant individuals awaiting reunification or repatriation. Care begins upon arrival and includes initial screening, exams, identification of prior conditions and allergies, and routine, urgent, and emergency medical care.

International SOS seeks an experienced Dentist to diagnose and treat oral health issues, perform dental procedures, and educate patients on oral hygiene. The role is vital for ensuring overall health and well-being of patients' teeth and gums.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct examinations of teeth, gums, and oral tissues to diagnose issues and develop treatment plans.
• Perform procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns.
• Provide preventive care including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and the importance of regular checkups.
• Diagnose oral diseases and abnormalities, creating treatment plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Provide emergency dental care for acute issues.
• Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure sterilization and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment.
• Stay updated with advancements in dental technology through continuing education.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements/Certifications:

• Current, unrestricted dental license in the US (State, DC, Puerto Rico, or US territory).
• Successful completion of the NBDE administered by JCNDE.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Education:

• Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from an ADA or CODA-accredited school.

Physical & Other Qualifications

• Work in a typical office environment, sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
• Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs. may be required.
• Must be a US citizen or possess a permanent resident card.
• Current MRPT clearance preferred.

Additional Information
