Cornerstone Care in Washington, PA is looking for a Dentist to join our dental team at the Washington Beau St location. This full-time role focuses on delivering comprehensive dental care in a community health setting.

Required is a DDS or DMD from an accredited school and a Pennsylvania license or eligibility to obtain one. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, plus general computer proficiency, are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Dentistry with a DDS or DMD degree.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients in the Dental Department.
• Document dental care thoroughly in the patient record.
• Provide emergency dental care as needed.
• Supervise dental hygienists and assistants; ensure compliance with laws.
• Collaborate with the Dental Director on facility design and equipment.
• Assist in formulating annual health care plans for the center and community.
• Monitor community health needs and participate in health projects as appropriate.
• Provide health education to community organizations or at the health center.
• Maintain liaison with local health agencies, dental societies, and social services.

Cornerstone Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), with locations throughout Southwestern Pa., is seeking a Dentist to join our dental team.

Job Responsibilities

• Examines, diagnoses, and treats patients utilizing the Dental Department.
• Ensures that dental care is completely and adequately documented in the dental record.
• Provides emergency care as needed.
• Assists in the supervision and provides direction for dental hygienists and dental assistants; ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws concerning use of dental auxiliaries.
• Consults with Dental Director to assess that facility design and adequate equipment are in place to provide optimal and efficient patient care.
• Assists in formulating the annual health care plan for the center and the community.
• Monitors the health care needs of the patient population and the community and takes action to satisfy said needs; participates in community health projects, when appropriate.
• Provides health education to community organizations and/or in the health center, when needed.
• Maintains active liaison with local health agencies, dental societies, and social service providers.

Qualifications and Skills

• Graduation from an accredited School of Dentistry with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine.
• Possession of a license to practice dentistry in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or the ability to secure a license.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• General computer proficiency.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and multitasking ability.
