Job summary

Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center is seeking a Dentist to provide comprehensive and emergency dental services to patients of all ages at the Waianae Main Campus Dental Clinic. This full-time role involves a workload exceeding 40 hours weekly, with duties spanning clinical care, lab work, and recordkeeping.

As an FQHC, patient access influences scheduling, and providers may work at multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid dental license to practice in Hawaii.
• Accredited U.S. dental graduates who have not taken Hawaii State Board or ADEX must obtain a Temporary or Community Health Center Hawaii Dental license.
• Current DEA and State Narcotic Registration required.
• BLScertification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Must possess a valid Hawaii Driver's License and vehicle to travel offsite if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs, plan and deliver comprehensive and emergency dental services.
• Full-time employment with over 40 hours per week of clinical, lab, and recordkeeping duties.
• Work at multiple locations; clinics open Mon–Sat; supervision of residents and performance of care.
• Time allocation between patient care and support of the residency program as directed by the Dental Director.

POSITION SUMMARY

Thisp o sit i o nisresponsible to assess patient needs, plan, and delivery comprehensive andemergency dental services to patients of all ages.Positions are for full time employment, butthe expectation is that Providers will generally put in over 40 hours per weekperforming clinical, lab, and recordkeeping functions.As a Federally Qualified Health Center,patient access is a primary consideration influencing individual work schedulesand clinic hours.Providers shouldanticipate the possibility of working at multiple locations and clinics areopen Mon - Sat.Providers will need toprovide faculty supervision to residents and be responsible for their competentprovision of care to patients of the Center.Allocation of time between patient care and support of the residencyprogram is determined by the Dental Director.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

1. Possessionof a valid, recognized dental license to practice in the State of Hawaii

2. AccreditedU.S. dental graduates who have not taken the Hawaii State Dental Boardexamination or ADEX, must obtain a Temporary or a Community Health CenterHawaii Dental license

3. CurrentDEA and State Narcotic Registration is required of all licenses with theexception of a holder of the Temporary license
