Description

Fifty years ago, a group of volunteers saw the need to provide healthcare to underserved members of the community. Forty years ago, that volunteer effort became a non-profit organization, operating out of a mobile trailer.

Today, we are a growing network of neighborhood health centers serving over 100,000 patients in San Joaquin and Solano Counties, making us one of the area’s largest safety net providers. We offer integrated medical, dental, behavioral health, and supportive services, all using a model that puts the patient at the center of the care team.

The Dentist is responsible for providing general dental care to the Centers' target population. The Dentist reports to the Chief Dental Officer.

New Grads: Starting at $153,500 but could go up to $190,000 with bonuses.

Experienced dentist: Starting at $173,500 but could go up to $210k with bonuses.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Dentistry Degree from accredited dental school as DDS or DMD
  • Licensed as a dentist in the State of California
  • Knowledge and skills in delivering dental care to patients
  • Preference will be given to individuals who have worked with low-income and minority community members

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Assist the Dental Director in establishing dental policies and procedures for the program
  • Provide direct dental care for the center's patients
  • Supervise dental clinic staff in absence of the Dental Director
  • Assist the Dental Director in reviewing and recommending dental department fees for services, scope of care, and departmental policies
  • Assist in training and monitoring departmental staff compliance with OSHA, Bloodborne Pathogens, CLIA, and safety policies
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
